How to play Go Fish

Ask an opponent for a rank you already hold. If they have matching cards, you take them and go again; if not, you 'go fish' and draw from the deck. Collect all four cards of a rank to complete a book — most books when the 13th book is made wins.

Hints and statistics

The hint system estimates which ask is most likely to succeed based on what has been revealed, and your lifetime wins, books, and streaks are tracked automatically between sessions.

How to Play — Step by Step

1. Pick your table in the gear menu: 2–6 players and bot difficulty. With 2–3 players everyone gets 7 cards, otherwise 5.
2. On your turn, click a rank in your hand you want to collect, then click the opponent you want to ask.
3. If they hold cards of that rank, they hand over all of them — and you ask again.
4. If not, 'Go fish!': you draw from the deck. Drawing the very rank you asked for lets you continue; otherwise play passes on.
5. Collect all four cards of a rank to complete a book, which is laid down automatically.
6. The game ends when all 13 books are made — the player with the most books wins.

Strategy Tips

Remember which ranks each opponent has asked for — it tells you what they're collecting. Ask players who recently requested a rank you also hold, and try to complete books quickly to lock in points. Late in the game, avoid asking for ranks you can't complete.
